NSW: Major crimes under inviestigation by Strike Force Tuno 2

Strike Force Tuno 2 was formed in October 2008 and comprises detectives from the Homicide, Gangs, Drugs, Property Crime, Fraud and Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squads.

Personnel from the NSW Crime Commission also work with the strike force, which has been assisted by the Queensland Homicide Investigation Unit.

Strike Force Tuno 2 evolved from the original Strike Force Tuno, established in November 2001 to investigate the abduction and murder of prisoner Terry Falconer.

Strike Force Tuno 2 is investigating the following unsolved major crimes:

- The murder of Terry Falconer, who was on day release when he was abducted from a smash repair business in Ingleburn on November 16, 2001. Falconer's body was discovered in bags floating in the Hastings River on 26 November 2001.

- The suspicious disappearance and suspected murder of Ian Drapper, last seen leaving the Mount Pritchard Community Centre on August 3, 2001. His car, a white Ford sedan with NSW registration plates ACD 45Q, was later found abandoned on Bringelly Road at Leppington on 17 September 2001.

- The attempted murder of a 41-year-old male employee of the Peakhurst Inn, who was shot about 5am on October 14, 2001 as he left work.

- The attempted murder of a 30-year-old New Zealand national at Haymarket. The man was shot while drinking at a bar in Harbour Street about 9pm on October 8, 2002.

- The murder of Greg McDonald, who was shot at Wetherill Park on January 29, 1991.

- The murder of 93-year-old Albert Perish and his wife, 91-year-old Frances Perish. They were shot dead at their Leppington home, which was then set alight, on June 14, 1993.

- The suspicious disappearance and suspected murder of Paul Wheeler, last seen on August 6, 1999 at High Place, Queanbeyan.

- The murder of Michael Davies, whose body was found in his unit at The Esplanade, Paradise Point, on the Gold Coast on April 17, 2002. He had been shot.

- The suspected murder of a mother and her three-year-old son, found dead on June 29, 2003, at the base of a cliff at the Springbrook Mountain Twin Falls on the Gold Coast.
