NSW: Calls to change NSW driving laws over fatal smash

A teenager who's pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of all four of his passengers .. faces up to 40 years in jail when he's sentenced in a New South Wales court today.

The 19-year-old driver .. and sole survivor of the crash .. pleaded GUILTY to four charges of dangerous driving causing death.

17 year old BRYCE WELLS .. and 16-year-olds MITCHELL EVELEIGH .. COREY NEW and PAUL MORRIS .. died instantly when the speeding car ran off the road south of Byron Bay in October 2006.

The Lismore District Court heard earlier the driver .. who cannot be named .. was travelling at more than 115 kilometres an hour in an 80 kilometre zone.

The families of all four victims are expected in court today for his sentencing.
