SYDNEY, Feb 14 AAP - A middle-aged woman has been charged with drug and firearm offences after police raided a home in southern NSW.

Acting on a tip-off, police said they raided a home on Kosciuszko Road in Jindabyne on Friday, finding a large quantity of dried cannabis, an elaborate hydroponics set-up and an unregistered firearm.

A second raid was then conducted at a home on nearby Gippsland Street where a large quantity of cannabis and an "elaborate hydroponically grown cannabis operation" was seized.

The 55-year-old was arrested and charged with offences including possess an unauthorised and unregistered firearm, possess, cultivate and supply prohibited drug and with having stolen goods in her premises.

She has been granted conditional bail to appear in Cooma Local Court on March 18.

Police say there may be more arrests to come as officers investigate a number of drug-related matters in the area.

"We are working with the community to address drug related crime in our area, and we encourage anyone with any information to come forward," Inspector Ian Davey said in a statement.
