NSW: Police charge suspected bikie with drug offences

SYDNEY, March 7 AAP - Police have charged a suspected bikie gang member after seizing more than 700 ecstasy pills and cash in Sydney's south-west.

Officers searched a silver-coloured Hyundai Excel in Byrne Street, Ashcroft, at 7.25pm (AEDT) on Friday.

"During the search police allegedly located more than 700 ecstasy tablets and a significant sum of cash," a NSW police statement said.

A 20-year-old man, who police said was believed to be a motorcycle gang member, was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and having goods in custody.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

A 27-year-old man, who was also arrested after police searched the Hyundai Excel, was charged with having goods in custody.

He was bailed to appear at Liverpool Local Court on March 23.
