NSW: Big retailers slam decision to ban Easter Sunday trading

21 Mar 2009 2:33 AM

Major retailers aren't impressed with the New South Wales government rejecting their application to trade on Easter Sunday.

Supermarket chains Coles and Woolworths along with David Jones and Harvey Norman are some of the big retailers that aren't happy with the Office of Industrial Relations' decision.

It's decided that that those retailers and Big W .. Aldi and Clive Peeters must remain closed.

It's also refused hardware chain Bunnings the right to open .. that decision having gone to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal.

Broadway Shopping Centre in central Sydney will .. however .. be allowed to open.
