Vic: Man caught driving 80km/h over speed limit

MELBOURNE, March 22 AAP - Police have impounded a car after a 24-year-old man was caught driving more than 80km/h over the speed limit.
Victoria Police said they detected the man using a laser speed detection device on Dandenong Road, in Melbourne's southeast, about 9pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
He was driving at 153km/h in a 70km/h zone.
Police impounded his 1983 Ford Fairmont for 48 hours and he will be charged on summons with offences including driving dangerously and speeding offences.
