Fed: John Curtin to be banished from Parliament House

JOHN CURTIN .. Australia's great wartime prime minister .. is to be banished from Parliament House.
Once a portrait of our most recent ex-prime minister .. JOHN HOWARD .. is finished .. CURTIN will become a victim of Parliament House's strict first-on-first-off portrait-hanging policy.
Next in line is FRANK FORDE .. who held the position between CURTIN'S death in office on July 5 1945 and BEN CHIFLEY'S election to leadership a week later .. making him Australia's briefest-lasting PM.
A Parliament House spokeswoman says the space allocated to PM's portraits on the first gallery floor can only take 12.
