Fed: Men shot dead outside Canberra house identified

CANBERRA, March 27 AAP - Two men shot dead outside a Canberra house three days ago have been identified.

ACT police said the dead men were Gregory Peter Carrigan, 48, and Richard John Roberts, 57, who both lived in southern Canberra.

Media reports said Mr Roberts was a senior Rebels Motorcycle Club member.

A 20-year-old man, charged with two counts of murder, appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was refused bail.

Emergency services were called to a house in Chisholm on Tuesday afternoon after receiving reports a man had suffered a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, the ACT ambulance service declared one man dead in front of the home and another man dead in the back yard.

A firearm was recovered from the scene.
