More to joblessness than official estimate of unemployment

The number officially unemployed is heading toward 600-thousand .. but there are many more without jobs .. who want to work.
The figure's in the Bureau of Statistics' estimates of people of working age not in the labour force.
The ABS says since then the global credit crunch the labour market has deteriorated markedly .. lifting the number unemployed people by around 100-thousand.
