NSW: Police search 25 people, four vehicles in bikie operation

SYDNEY, March 29 AAP - Police have searched 25 people and four cars as part of an operation targeting bikie gangs.

Officers from Strike Force Raptor arrested and charged two people and issued eight move-on notices after carrying out the searches and patrolling 11 bars in Kings Cross and Parramatta on Saturday night.

Strike Force Raptor was formed after the death of Anthony Zervas, 29, who was killed in a bikie brawl at Sydney airport last Sunday.

One woman, suspected of having links to the Rebels Club, was charged with supply and possessing a prohibited substance after a vehicle search.

She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

The male driver of the vehicle, with suspected Rebels links, was charged with being a disqualified driver.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

A Hummer vehicle, allegedly linked to the Comancheros, was issued with a defect notice in Kings Cross.

Twenty-five traffic infringement notices and six speeding tickets were issued during the operation, police said.
