NSW: Man shot in southwest Sydney

SYDNEY, March 30 AAP - A man has been rushed to hospital after being shot several times at a unit block in Sydney's southwest.

Police say they were called to the block of units in Punchbowl Road, Lakemba, at 11.35pm (AEDT) on Sunday and found the man in his thirties in the underground carpark.

The man had several bullet wounds and was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital, where his condition is unknown, police said.

A crime scene has been set up around unit block, with investigations into the shooting continuing.
