NT: Cop with child porn get one month prison

A former Darwin police officer will spend only one month in prison after he was caught with more than 500 images of child porn.
41 year old BRENDAN HAIR pleaded guilty last week to one count of possessing child abuse material .. after nine videos and 558 images of child abuse were found in his police locker and desk in the Northern Territory police headquarters in 2007.
Hair was sentenced to eight months in prison today .. which will be suspended after one month is served.
During sentencing Justice DEAN MILDREN said he had taken into account the quality of the images .. the ages of the children and the motives for possession.
