NSW: BoM warns to prepare for more rain as clean-up continues

More thunderstorms are expected to hit the already devastated NSW mid-north coast tomorrow .. as thousands of residents and businesses continue the massive clean-up from this week's devastating rains.

The flood-ravaged Clarence Valley is the latest area on the NSW mid-north coast to be declared a natural disaster zone .. joining Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca Heads.

Nearly two-thousand-300 residents remain isolated after once-in-a-century rains devastated the region on Tuesday and Wednesday .. and the weather bureau says they're not out of the woods just yet.

Continued rain across the region has raised fears the flooding may be prolonged, particularly with heavy falls causing flash flooding in south-east Queensland on Thursday.

A Bureau of Meteorology spokeswoman says the Queensland weather system will only affect those areas on the NSW-Queensland border .. but a weather front moving up from South Australia .. could bring thunderstorms to northern NSW tomorrow.
