SYDNEY, April 13 AAP - A little girl has been left with a bloody nose after a man tried to pull her off her bike and then came after her in a van when she escaped, again trying to abduct her.

The nine-year-old was riding her bike on Tallowood Drive at Ourimbah on the NSW central coast on Sunday when a man approached and tried to pull her off the bike.

She managed to ride off toward parkland at the rear of the road then towards her home when a black van with the man and another man inside came after her.

"One of the men left the van and again attempted to grab the girl, causing her to sustain a bleeding nose and bruising to her legs," police said in a statement.

"She was again successful in escaping the men and rode home to inform her parents of the incident."

The girl was taken to Gosford Hospital, where she was treated.

Police are looking for a black Toyota Hiace van with NSW plates, with possible registration VRW41R.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that might be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
