LONDON, May 10 AP - British health officials have confirmed seven new cases of swine flu, bringing the national total to 55.

The Health Protection Agency said on Sunday that two of the new cases were in adults from London and eastern England.

The other five are in an adult and four children from a London school that has been closed since several pupils were diagnosed with the illness last week. Staff and students have been given antiviral drugs.

No one in Britain has died of the flu, and the Department of Health said all cases so far in the country had been mild.
