GOLD COAST, May 13 AAP - A Gold Coast schoolgirl faces court over a brawl, allegedly caught on camera.

High school student Tess Stirling, 15, suffered a possible broken nose on Monday after allegedly being kicked and punched by classmates while a crowd watched.

Police on Wednesday said they had arrested and charged a 17-year-old girl with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company and warned more arrests could follow.

Officers are investigating claims the assault was captured on a mobile phone camera.

"Investigations are still on-going and there are still a number of other people that we will need to speak to who were present when the assault occurred," Detective Senior Sargent Mark White told reporters.

"It's a good time to remind young people of the consequences if they want to participate in unacceptable behaviour ... and even though you may not be physically assaulting a person, any active participation or encouragement may constitute you as being a party to the offence."

In an unrelated attack, a 17-year-old Gold Coast boy will face court next month after allegedly filming a public brawl between two schoolgirls.

In another incident, a group of Gold Coast high school students allegedly brandished a toy pistol at a labourer before pelting him with eggs on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old girl will appear before Southport Magistrates Court on June 1.
