NSW: Reprisal fears after Sydney shootings

07 Jun 2009 5:21 PM

Concerns have been raised about possible reprisal attacks following the shooting of a man in Sydney's north.

FADI IBRAHIM and his girlfriend were ambushed by a gunman who repeatedly fired on them as they sat in his black Lamborghini at Castle Cove.

Police are refusing to comment on their investigation into the shooting .. but former NSW police assistant commissioner CLIVE SMALL has warned about retaliation.

Mr SMALL's told the Sunday Telegraph it's either a very brave or stupid decision to shoot a member of the IBRAHIM family in this way.

But the family has reportedly called for calm .. with nightclub owner JOHN IBRAHIM saying there won't be any retaliation by or on their behalf.
