NSW: Swine flu tally creeps over one thousand

More than 1,000 Australians have tested positive for swine flu.

Another eight cases of swine flu were confirmed in Queensland yesterday .. with 45 people now having been diagnosed as having the virus .. but only around half that number remain in isolation with the disease.

Victoria has the highest number of confirmed cases with almost 900 .. while New South Wales has recorded four more cases .. taking the state's tally to 82.

A 26-year-old woman was confirmed on Saturday as South Australia's 12th case of swine flu .. while eight people in Tasmania have now been confirmed as having the virus after two more positive results.

The Northern Territory has two confirmed cases and the ACT has seven.
