SARAJEVO, July 5 AFP - Bosnia has announced its second swine flu case -- a teenage girl who recently returned from Australia.

"We have a definite confirmation that it is the A(H1N1)) virus," Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Health Minister Safet Omerovic told national television on Sunday.

The 13-year-old girl is from the southern town of Ljubuski, he said.

She is undergoing treatment at her home while people who have been in contact with her are under medical surveillance, the minister added.

On June 29, the first swine flu case was confirmed in Bosnia in a 24-year-old woman who recently travelled to South America.

Last month, the World Health Organisation declared swine flu a global pandemic.

So far, the virus has infected almost 90,000 people in 125 countries and territories worldwide and caused more than 380 deaths, according to the latest WTO figures.
