The ministry says the patient, who had diabetes and high blood pressure, was admitted to Changi General Hospital on Thursday with flu-like symptoms and was diagnosed with swine flu.

It says he died on Saturday afternoon of a heart attack, contributed to by severe pneumonia and an underlying swine flu infection.
