The head of the US Republican Party says it's unfortunate President BARACK OBAMA has won the Nobel Peace Prize .. claiming he has celebrity status but no real achievements.
RNC Chairman MICHAEL STEELE says the real question Americans are asking is .. 'What has President OBAMA actually accomplished?
STEELE says it's unfortunate the president's star power has outshone tireless advocates who have made real achievements working towards peace and human rights.
But the Nobel committee says OBAMA won the international accolade because of his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.
