BRISBANE, Nov 2 AAP - A man has died after jumping from a 40m cliff intowater at a disused mine site southwest of Brisbane.
A group of men, swimming at the site near Swanbank, called police at 9am (AEST) today after one of them did not surface after jumping off the cliff.
Police told The Courier Mail the group of men filmed the jump on a mobile phone.
"There is a little bit of footage on a mobile phone," Senior Sergeant Robbie Goodger told the newspaper.
"I don't know whether they knew he was going to jump or they were filming him walking to the edge, that's yet to be determined."
Queensland police divers located the body of the man, believed to have beenaged in his mid-20s, at 4.40pm (AEST) in the old coal mine.
Police said they did not believe there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
