The Australian dollar was firmer at noon .. as traders readjusted their positions after weaker domestic data indicated a greater than expected slowdown in the local economy.
At 12pm (AEDT) it was buying around 67.38 US cents .. up from Friday's close of 67.14.
During the morning it traded between a low of 66.76 and a late morning highof 67.41.
