CANBERRA, Nov 3 AAP - Three Islamic militant groups have been re-listed as terrorist organisations by federal Attorney-General Robert McClelland.
The decision means it will remain illegal to deal with Abu Sayyaf, Jamiat ul-Ansar and al-Qaeda in Iraq.
One dissolved organisation, the Armed Islamic Group or GIA, has been removed from the list.
"Based on current intelligence, GIA no longer meets the threshold for proscription in the legislation," Mr McClelland said in a statement.
