WA: Police apprehend man after wife murdered in rural WA
06 Nov 2008 7:48 PMPERTH, Nov 6 AAP - A man sought by police after his wife was murdered inrural Western Australia has been apprehended by the Tactical Response Group without incident, police say.
Officers were called to the home of 39-year-old Donnybrook woman Tania Sharee Marshall about 3.30am (WDT) on Monday after one of her three daughters called police.
Ms Marshall was shot dead in the Tallowwood Drive house while two of her daughters were home.
Police have been searching for her estranged husband Steven John Mildwaters, 39, who they believed was armed with a .223 calibre rifle.
They said Mr Mildwaters was a person of interest in the murder.
Sergeant Greg Lambert said the Tactical Response Group had apprehended Mr Mildwaters this afternoon.
"I don't have the details of where he was apprehended but he has been takeninto custody and is being taken to Bunbury," Sgt Lambert said.
The couple's eldest daughter Dannielle Marshall-Mildwaters made an emotional plea to her father to come forward two days ago.
