NSW: Woman attacked and robbed by fellow tenants
07 Nov 2008 1:01 PMSYDNEY, Nov 7 AAP - Two men have been charged with robbing and assaulting a young foreign student in Sydney's west.
The 23-year-old woman, from Pakistan, moved into a house in Blacktown on Sunday, and about 1am (AEDT) on Monday she was allegedly confronted by two male tenants who propositioned her for sex.
Police say she was grabbed and robbed of cash and jewellery, including a gold necklace.
She managed to break free and escape from the house, reporting the attack to a security guard at Blacktown railway station and later to police.
Police went to the house and arrested two men, aged 21 and 23, who have been charged with offences including detaining a person for advantage, aggravated robbery and assault occasioning actual bodily harm with intent.
Both men are due to appear in Blacktown Local Court today.
