More than 100 cases of sexually transmitted diseases were reported in the Northern Territory in children under 14 during the first half of this year.
The six-monthly update from the Northern Territory Centre for Disease Control .. found 105 combined cases of gonorrhoea .. chlamydia .. syphilis and TRICHOMONIASIS in children under 14.
The report says ten of the children diagnosed with chlamydia were under ten.
It's only a slight improvement on the same time last year when 127 STDs were reported in children under 14.
This is despite the rollout of the federal intervention into Aboriginal communities .. launched in June last year .. to combat alarming rates of childsex abuse in remote communities.
