ASIA: Officials confirm Bali bombers' execution

It's been confirmed .. the three Bali bombers have been executed six years after the nightclub blasts that killed 202 people .. including 88 Australians.

A spokesman from Indonesia's Attorney General's Office says the convicts were executed by firing squad at 12.15am local time.

The bodies of IMAM SAMUDRA and brothers AMROZI and MUKHLAS are now being washed by their families for return to their home villages for burial today.

Local television reports the three Islamic militants were shot dead in an orange grove near their island prison off southern Java.
