13 Nov 2008 2:30 AMPedestrians are being warned of the dangers of using mobiles and MP3 players around busy streets.
Data from NRMA Insurance shows one pedestrian is injured every day on NSW roads.
NRMA Insurance spokesman JOHN HALLAL says some of the injuries are a resultof people using portable technologies on the run .. taking their eyes and minds off the road.
He says warning noises like car horns and emergency sirens are used for a reason and they need to be responded to quickly.
Mr HALLAL says people should re-think their use of technology while walkingor jogging around busy roads.
