NSW: Bullying victim washed compulsively with bleach: court

A trial's continuing today into claims a man couldn't make a living because he was severely bullied in high school.

DAVID GREGORY told a Sydney court yesterday he was so traumatised by bullying at the Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School in Tamworth .. that he began obsessively disinfecting himself .. resulting in chemical burns.

Mr GREGORY .. now 30 .. is seeking two million dollars in lost earnings because the alleged bullying caused severe psychological problems.

In a 1994 letter penned to a teacher and read out in the NSW Supreme Court yesterday .. Mr GREGORY described the compulsive bathing.

Mr GREGORY told the court he used hospital grade cleaners after touching things he thought were unclean .. and once suffered five or six chemical burns after a student placed their hat on his head.
