NSW: Bodies found in Sydney unit Asian women: police
14 Nov 2008 12:00 AMSYDNEY, Nov 14 AAP - Two bodies found in a Sydney unit are that of Asianwomen, but it's not yet known how they died, police say.
The bodies were found in the bedroom of a first-floor unit of a complex at Auburn by a resident just before 6pm (AEDT) today.
The resident raised the alarm by flagging down a passing ambulance and police were called to the large apartment complex, on the corner of Harrow Rd and Queen St, by paramedics.
Police established a crime scene and are treating the deaths as suspicious.
"The women, described only as being of Asian appearance, had suffered visible injuries to their bodies," a police statement said tonight.
"A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the causes of death."
Part of the complex was cordoned off and officers spent several hours speaking to residents through an interpreter and searching the area.
Forensic investigators were called in to examine the scene for clues.
Anyone with information about the deaths is urged to contact Crime Stopperson 1800 333 000.
