Aust dollar closes slightly weaker after quiet session

The Australian dollar has closed marginally lower .. despite pushing above 65 US cents in intraday trading thanks to a strong close on Wall Street.

At 5pm AEDT .. the Australian dollar was trading at 6448 US cents .. down from yesterday's close of 64.60 US cents.
