British newspaper columnist MELANIE REID has savaged BAZ LUHRMANN'S choice of NICOLE KIDMAN to star in his movie Australia .. saying the Australianstar can't act and is a turn-off.
Writing in RUPERT MURDOCH'S Times newspaper .. REID says KIDMAN as Lady SARAH ASHLEY is a mistake .. as female cinema-goers feel she's one of the mostoverrated actors in the world.
She describes KIDMAN as the kiss of death in practically every movie she has starred in .. including Cold Mountain and Eyes Wide Shut.
