Qld: Shopkeeper bitten in robbery

BRISBANE, Nov 22 AAP - A shopkeeper has been bitten and two people have been arrested in a violent robbery in Brisbane's CBD overnight.

Police charged a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl after they allegedly stole items from a liquor store on Matthew Terrace about 7.50pm yesterday.

Police said when staff confronted the pair, a scuffle broke out and a staffmember was allegedly bitten.

The woman was charged with robbery with violence while in company and will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today.

The girl has been charged with one count each of robbery with violence and assault occasioning bodily harm.

She will appear in the Caboolture Children's Court today.
