Vic: Man injured in three-car pileup dies

MELBOURNE, Nov 22 AAP - A man involved in a three-car collision in Melbourne has died in hospital, bringing the number of deaths from the crash to three.

The smash occurred in Sunbury, in Melbourne's north-west outskirts, on Thursday afternoon.

A 61-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman died at the scene.

A 38-year-old man was taken to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries and died on Friday, a police spokeswoman said on Saturday night.

Police are continuing their investigations.

Victoria's road toll sits at 278, compared to 280 at the same time last year.
