Qld: Policeman on drink driving charge
23 Nov 2008 4:44 AMBRISBANE, Nov 23 AAP - An off-duty senior constable has been charged with drink driving after a tip-off that a marked police dog squad van was being driven erratically.
The policeman, a member of the Brisbane Dog Squad, allegedly blew a readingof 0.353 per cent and was charged with driving under the influence after being detained on Hope Island on Saturday evening.
He was off duty and driving a vehicle allocated to him, a police statement said.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on December 9.
The Ethical Standards Command has commenced an internal investigation into the matter.
