NSW: Man abducts boy and girl in Sydney's west
23 Nov 2008 1:19 PMPolice say they hope to release shortly the identity of a 37-year-old man who allegedly abducted a six-year-old boy and two-year-old girl from Sydney's west yesterday.
The children were taken from a house in Lawrence Street in Fairfield about 8am (AEDT) by a man who drove off with them in a grey Suzuki Vitara .. NSW registration XNS 191.
Police say the man's known to the children and they're waiting for legal clearance to release pictures of him.
They've already posted alerts about the abduction on RTA signs across the city.
