The 19-year-old was rushed to Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on November 16 after being revived by police and ambulance officers in the front yard of the Marrickville home.
He died in hospital on Friday, police said on Monday. His family was reportedly by his side as his life support machine was turned off.
Police said a 26-year-old Marrickville man had returned home earlier this month to find the 19-year-old inside the property.
A struggle broke out between the men and ended in the front yard, police said.
Other residents of the Myrtle Street share-house said the younger man initiated the scuffle.

A report on the 19-year-old's death is being prepared for the coroner.
