NSW: Toddler dies, brother critical, in pool accident

One of the twin boys rushed to hospital tonight after being found unconscious in a backyard pool on the New South Wales Central coast has died.

The two one-year-old boys were rushed to Gosford hospital in a critical condition .. after they were found unconscious in the pool on Huberts Island at 7.15pm (AEDT).

One of the boys has now died .. while the other remains in a critical condition.

The hospital says the surviving boy will most likely be transferred to a Sydney Children's hospital.

Family and neighbours tried to resuscitate the boys when the were first found in the pool .. and after paramedics arrived .. police drove the ambulances to Gosford Hospital so paramedics could continue the resuscitation.
