MELBOURNE, Nov 27 AAP - Homicide detectives have charged two men with murder and another with being an accessory to murder over a shooting at a Geelong motorcycle club last month that left one man dead.

Ross "Rosco" Brand, 51, was gunned down and another gang member was injured in an ambush outside the Geelong clubhouse of the Bandidos motorcycle gang on October 22.

Detectives raided six properties around Geelong on Wednesday as part of their investigation into the death of the Bandidos' member.

They arrested eight people and seized exhibits including two cars, a sawn-off shotgun, a crossbow and powder and tablets, Detective Inspector Steve Clark told reporters on Wednesday.

Two men, an Ocean Grove man, 25, and a 21-year-old man from Highton, have been charged with one count each of murder and intentionally causing serious injury.

A 72-year-old man from Ceres was charged with being an accessory to murder and drug and firearms offences.

All three will appear on Thursday in the Geelong Magistrates' Court.

A Ceres woman, 61, will be charged on summons with drugs and firearms offences following the raids.

The four others arrested have been released pending further inquiries.

Det Insp Clark said all those arrested were connected with the Rebels or Death Before Dishonour motorcycle gangs.

"Some are patched-up members and some are associates," he told reporters.

"It's clear we're making progress in the investigation. I hope it gives most of the people in Geelong some comfort. If there are any incidents down there we have the resources and are ready to respond."
