NSW: Flash flooding hits northern NSW

SYDNEY, Nov 28 AAP - State Emergency Service crews have been called to northern NSW after flash floods in the region.

An SES spokesman said the town of Tamworth had received 150mm of rain since 9am (AEDT) on Friday.

"There are three rescues underway," he said.

"Two people are stuck on causeways."

"An elderly lady is trapped in her hotel."

A significant number of properties are affected by the flooding.
