Qld: Free rail journeys under LNP government

Brisbane commuters willing to start work earlier .. or finish later .. will get one free rail journey every day under a Liberal National Party government.
Under the 414 million dollar plan .. train trips in Brisbane's CBD will be free between six and seven each morning and evening when commuters use their electronic Go cards.
Queensland Opposition Leader LAWRENCE SPRINGBORG says the plan will expand the traditional peak hours by three hours.. making public transport more comfortable.
The LNP's also promising to boost carriage numbers and install a new traffic control system .. which would allow trains to run within one minute of each other.
The moves are expected to boost capacity by 20 per cent.
