CHN: 11 girls die of poisoning at China school: report

BEIJING, Dec 2 AP - Eleven girls have died of carbon monoxide poisoning at a school in northern China's Shaanxi province after trying to make a fire to heat their room, China's state media reports.
The 11 students at a secondary school in Yulin city died on Monday after lighting the fire to keep warm, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday.
Another girl was in serious condition.
The report did not give the ages of the girls, and did not say whether the room was a classroom or a dormitory.
