SYDNEY, Dec 6 AAP - The elderly occupants of a car that crashed in NSW's central west, leaving all four with serious injuries, were not wearing seat belts.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said the car was travelling "at medium to high speed", when it crashed near Bathurst about 11.30am (AEDT)on Saturday.
The occupants of the car were all men aged 60 to 77.
A 70-year-old man was airlifted to Nepean Hospital by helicopter, suffering critical head injuries and remains in a critical condition.
A second emergency helicopter airlifted a 77-year-old man and a 63-year-old man.
Both are in a stable condition at Westmead hospital.
A fourth man, aged 60, sustained serious spinal injuries and was airlifted to Orange Base hospital.
It is understood the car the men were travelling in hit a tree and went down an embankment, the NSW ambulance spokeswoman said.
Because none of the men were wearing seatbelts, all were ejected from the vehicle.
