NSW: P-plater and 39-year-old man die in seperate accidents

SYDNEY, Dec 7 AAP - A 20-year-old female P-plater died and two men were injured following a collision in Sydney's west on Saturday night.
Police say the woman and a 22-year-old male front seat passenger possibly crossed over to the wrong side of the road in a Toyota Echo, while travelling south on the Northern Road, Cranebrook about 10.10pm (AEDT).
They collided head-on with a northbound Mercedes panel van driven by a 45-year-old Londonderry man.
The Toyota rolled onto its roof.
Police believe the female driver died instantly.
The two men were both treated at the scene and taken to Nepean Hospital with minor injuries.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Also on Saturday night, a man died and another was seriously hurt when a car crashed into bushland in Sydney's south.
Police said the 54-year-old driver from Alfords Point was travelling north on Old Illawarra Road, Illawong, when his vehicle left the road and crashed into bushland about 9.15pm (AEDT).
He was trapped for about an hour before he was released.
He was later airlifted to Liverpool Hospital with serious injuries.
His 39-year-old passenger, a Sutherland man, died at the scene.
Meanwhile, two men have died after a four-wheel drive crashed on a remote rural property north of Bathurst, in the state's central west.
They were the two backseat passengers in a Suzuki Sierra soft-top that went down an extremely steep hill and hit a tree on Saturday.
The men, aged 74 and 63, were both from Waterloo.
The driver, a 52-year-old Marrickville man, was taken to Orange Base Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The front seat passenger, a 78-year-old Surry Hills man, was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
