NSW: Taxi driver punched and kicked by passenger

SYDNEY, Dec 10 AAP - A 59-year-old taxi driver has facial injuries after a passenger stomped on his head and repeatedly kicked him.
Police said the driver picked up an 18-year-old man in Miranda and drove him to an address in Hurstville on Tuesday.
When they arrived, the passenger punched the driver in the face before tackling him to the ground and kicking him.
The driver was treated at St George Hospital for several facial injuries and discharged on Wednesday morning.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and malicious damage.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.
