US: Shoe attack on Bush mars farewell Iraq visit

A journalist has hurled his shoes at US President GEORGE W BUSH on his farewell visit to Iraq.
MUNTAZER AL-ZAIDI jumped up as BUSH held a press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister NURI AL-MALIKI .. and shouted "It is the farewell kiss, you dog" .. before throwing his footwear.
As the president lowered his head .. the first shoe hit the American and Iraqi flags behind the two leaders .. and the second was off target.
ZAIDI was immediately wrestled to the ground by security guards and frogmarched from the room.
Soles of shoes are considered the ultimate insult in Arab culture.
BUSH has laughed off the incident .. saying he didn't feel the least bit threatened by the size 10s .. and the other journalists were most apologetic.
