NSW: ATM thieves strike again
19 Dec 2008 7:20 AM
Brazen ATM thieves have struck again in Sydney .. blowing up two more machines and escaping with cash.
Early this morning cash machines at West Pennant Hills and Telopea were targeted within an hour of each other .. bringing the total of attacks in the city to six since Tuesday.
At West Pennant Hills officers were called at about two am (AEDT) .. but found the stand-alone ATM largely intact .. apparently with no cash taken.
Half an hour later thieves targeted the Telopea ATM .. where they escaped with cash after the explosion which damaged the machine and several neighbouring shops.
Crime scenes have been established at both shopping centres.
