If you're the type of person who grimaces as grandma drops racial slurs during Christmas lunch .. be warned .. new research shows you could be doing the same in a few decades.
An international study .. led by an Australian academic .. has found the ability to be prejudiced is linked to ageing and brain functioning .. and not just the times in which a person grows up.
Dr KAREN GONSALKORALE .. of the School of Psychology at University of Sydney .. says her online study shows there's little difference in the level of racial bias across different age groups.
But the ability to mask or override socially unpalatable views decreases as a person gets older .. and the decline's most pronounced after 50.
