MELBOURNE, Dec 27 AAP - A Victorian man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver.
Police and ambulance paramedics were called to a house at Reservoir in Melbourne's north around 10.40pm on Friday after reports one man had been critically injured.
The 19-year-old was treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
An Ambulance Victoria official described the head wound as "horrendous".
Police said Stephen Tito, 20, of Reservoir, had been remanded in custody to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with one count of attempted murder.
